CAFE TERO offers you the best harvested Colombian coffee grown in the ideal climate & altitudes of 1,300 – 1,870 metres, where farmers use traditional processing, selecting & hand-picking only the best coffee fruit cherries. This artisanal method used for many years gives our brand CAFE TERO a lot of pride of what we have to offer to the “coffee lovers”.

Once the highest quality Arabica coffee beans have been chosen, traditional roasting methods are used, toasting the cleaned coffee beans to the perfect temperatures, cooling it with air, without mixing or adding any type of preservatives, sweeteners or colours. These artisanal methods used are revealed in your cup, giving you various aromatic flavours.

CAFE TERO Arabica coffee is farmed in Marsella, Risaralda. This small town situated in (Eje Cafetero) is known as the triangular Colombian coffee region. It is famous for growing and producing majority of Colombian coffee, considered by many to be the best coffee in the world. There are three zones in Eje Cafetero: Caldas, Quindío and Risaralda. Marsella is a traditional colonial town in this coffee region, these lands were once populated by the Quimbaya Indians.

This coffee growing region presents dry and rainy periods along different months, which allow harvesting fresh coffee regularly during the whole year. In most of the coffee growing regions in other parts of the country there is a period of flowering that goes from January to March, and another one that goes from July to September. The main harvest in these zones takes place between September and December, and there is a secondary harvest, denominated "mitaca", during the second quarter of the year.

Our brand name CAFE TERO derived from a selection of meanings, in Colombia a (Cafetero) in English translation is one of the following: coffee farmer, coffee lover, coffee picker or coffee merchant.

The name CAFE TERO also consists of (Tero Bird) The Southern Lapwing bird, which is a common & widespread resident throughout South America & can be found in this Colombian coffee region.

Most farmers have little idea of where their coffee goes or what price it ends up selling for, which makes CAFE TERO different to other coffee suppliers as we have pride in working directly with our growers in Marsella, Risaralda and sharing with them knowledge of which part of the world their coffee is distributed.

Our team at CAFE TERO is always happy to assist international buyers with any products, commodities requirements they may need, as we work closely with other local farmers, mines or companies.
